Thank you Commissioner. You are an honest and good Govt. officer. We will excuse you for selecting date 8 for everything at his insistence. When you next see him that number 8 is lucky only for the Chinese ant for Sri Lankans. Also shoot that astrologer when you pass that way. Salman Khan and Modis election media advisor tried their best. Sri Lankans like local artists ant foreign ones. Also thank BBS for their wonderful help. How does that spokesman always manage to get media attention to advice the whole world?

Hope the new President makes a difference by returning the country to complete accountability and good stewardship. Scrap the constitutional and legal immunity available to wrong-doers and bring all the wrong doers to books. Make Public Service exemplary and zero-tolerant to corruption. Recruit public servants on the basis of egalitarian meritocracy. Hope he has the courage to do what JRJ did to Sirimavo. Hope he makes every Sri Lanka in and overseas - proud as how Singaporeans and Australians feel about their countries as at the moment it is shameful to call ourselves Srilankan.

Congratulations to the enlightened and fearless Sri Lankan voters. They braved intimidation and threats but cast their ballot fearlessly, and have now ushered in a new .president supported by the entire opposition including stalwarts like Chandrika,Ranil, etcNow the new dispensation has to clean up the mess left behind by the clan Rajapakse who put their family before the country, why they lost.
