Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) Deputy leader and Central Provincial Council member M. Udayakumar pledged his support to the Common Opposition last morning.
Udayakumar speaking at a specially convened news conference flanked by former CWC strongman R. Yogarajan, said he decided to join the opposition as the current regime had not fulfilled the aspirations of the people he represented.
Earlier, CWC led by Minister Arumugan Thondaman pledged its support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa. (Hafeel Farisz)
