United National Party (UNP) today charged that corrupt investors backed by the present United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Government have already obtained permanent residency in Saint Kitts and Nevis islands in the Caribbean Sea to avoid being penalized under a National Unity Government.
UNP Parliamentarian and economist Harsha De Silva told a news conference at the Opposition Leader’s Office in Colombo that they would not allow corrupt investors and businessmen to leave the country and vowed to take legal action against them. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

We have seen punishment given by then newly appointed CBK in 1995 to the corrupted politicians and so on. Nothing will happen other than taking revenge of individuals. System has to be develop to curb of corruption like in Singapore. All accounts of individuals and companies to be linked to social security number so that any given time judiciary can scrutinize those accounts. No politicians initiate that type of system We all listening to speech like this during election period.

Please publish their names, instead just making allegations. We know that this is the heat of Election, so just allegations will be counter productive.
