What a joke!. Just a pittance for a man who made millions under the previous regime. Now we will never know how he amassed his loot. Judgement is passed. If a poor man was caught stealing a coconut the fine will exceed Rs.1000.00

Need to introduce a system similar to some countries, where penalty payments calculated according to the earning and assets own by a culprit. Otherwise, if it is Rs 100 for billions of theft wouldn't surprise. It would better even to include court and other charges to the fine. Lesser the penalties more chance for the repeated offence.

Did the judge become richer? Alternately would it not be right for Vas to file a case for tarnishing his image? The fake media said he was real bad nut. Maybe the judge knew better.
