The Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) over irregularities at the Srilankan airlines catering service concluded its inquiry yesterday.
A spokesman said the final report compiled by PRECIFAC would be submitted to the President shortly.
A petition received by PRECIFAC had alleged that six employees of the Srilankan airlines including former Civil Aviation Minister Priyankara Jayaratne and former Srilankan Airlines’ chairman Nishantha Wickramasinghe had misused millions of rupees belonging to the Srilankan airlines during last years presidential election.
The petition stated that food and beverages had been provided by the Srilankan airlines catering service without bills and invoices on the intervention of former minister Priyankara Jayaratne and former Srilankan airlines chairman Nishantha Wickramasinghe.
The petition mentioned 26 allegations with regard to the misuse of property belonging to the Srilankan airlines catering service. (AS)

We are happy,at least, that is completed. Now the take the misused money from them and give the people VAT relief.Some few MARA people do not understand the reason behind the VAT increases. Millions of Money defrauded during MARA regime which causes these painful act on people.
