Former president and MP Mahinda Rajapaksa today paid a visit to MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena, who is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.

MP Abeygunawardena was injured during yesterday's protest march organised by the joint opposition against the Central Bank Governor.

A spokesman for the joint opposition said the injured MP was recovering well and out of danger.

Several other MPs of the joint opposition had also visited the injured MP.
