CSN Chairman Rohan Weliwita who had arrived in Singapore to attend the Broadcast Asia Exhibition had been deported by the country’s Immigration and Emigration officials, the joint opposition said today.
It said Mr. Weliwita had left for Singapore on Tuesday and had been deported after three hours of interrogation.
“Court has permitted Mr. Weliwita to travel abroad. In such scenario there are reasons to suspect the presence of a hidden hand behind his deportation. He may take legal action in this regard,” the joint opposition said.

Singapore does not take rash decisions like Sri Lanka where we deported a British Lady who had a tattoo of Lord Buddha on her hand and a practicing Buddhist. Singapore would have found clear adequate evidence of some activity of this fellow that is detrimental to the interests of Singapore.

You are right they have zero degree tolerance for criminal activities.Nationality, Gender, Age have no bar in deciding cases.Even their President or PM are not exempted from the law.One law and it is same for all.Unlike South Asia different law for different people.
