The Met Department said the low pressure area is moving away from the island and rainy conditions over the country would be reduced to some extent.
However, the department said strong wind conditions will continue for few more days.
They said possible heavy rains would occur at several places in the North, North Central and North Western provinces.
“Showers or thunder showers would also occur at times in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts,” the department said. (Darshana Sanjeewa)
