Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran had been admitted to the Jaffna General Hospital due to a sudden illness yesterday, hospital sources said.
The meeting scheduled for today with President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in Colombo over the release of lands in the North has also been postponed due to this, officials said. (Siraaj Hazim)

If a Southern Minister had an illness, he would have got an helicopter pick him up and drop him at Merchants ward. Thereafter, he will proceed further using public money to Singapore.

Suggest the President, as a good gesture, sends him to Singapore for further treatment as he has fallen ill many times and many important meetings were cancelled. Every minute wasted is like a year wasted for the Tamils. Its not easy to get another appointment with the President/PM as they are busy too. While we wish him fast recovery, CM should decide whether he should continue in politics or not.
