Coordinating secretary to MP Weerakumara Dissanayeke has been hospitalized after he accidentally shot himself in Anuradhapura last night.
The weapon belonging to one of Dissanayakes’s security personnel accidently fired when the 49-year-old secretary, B.M. Amarasinghe, attempted to examine the weapon at the parliamentarian’s office.
The victim was admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital with two gunshot wounds to his arm and leg. Hospital sources said his condition was not critical. (Dayaratne Abogama)

wait what?? 2 gunshot wounds. one to the arm and one to the leg.??? im bit confused. if this is an accident, you can have one bullet wound. coz, who on earth wants go and shoot him self again. lol.... no wander he is a secretary to a MP.

Both should be charged - the security guy for giving the weapon to an unauthorized person and the Secretary for discharging a firearm and causing grievous hurt. It could even have been the MP who was hurt.
