I hope the judge will not bow to or be intimidated by external pressure which usually happens in cases like this where the rich will use their money to get help and see that they get minimum punishment and deliver justice accordingly.

They do not have a name such as Hirunika Premachandra to get state level support to escape.

How do you know they are rich, you are trying to spread racism in a different manner.

Whoever it is, conduct a fair inquiry, and bring culprits to the book.. Give them the deserved punishment.. Law is same for everyone in the land..

Sonali, I fully agree with Jagath. Plz do not use this incident to create communal disharmony. It is indeed a crime to allow a 15 yr old to drive a vehicle, and if the mother had aided and abetted this incident, she is at fault. This unfortunate incident could have happened even to ppl of other community. The court will take necessary measures in this case. We will wait for the verdict.

The pedestrian crossing on the baseline road, between the Prison junction and the Dematagoda Railway line, is a death trap. Because of the straight road stretch here most of the idiotic drivers speed. This is a problem for the law abiding drivers as well. The pedestrian crossing must changed to have a set of traffic lights otherwise there will be more fatalities. Really, the idiotic road traffic engineer came up with the idea of having a pedestrian crossing on this stretch must be prosecuted as well.

the judgement has to be fair and same as to any individual who does this kind of a crime
