Portugese and Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is currently on holiday in Sri Lanka, social media posts suggest.
According to posts shared on Instagram by Silva's partner Ines Degener Tomaz, the 27-year-old midfielder and Tomaz embarked on a Safari at Yala as part of their holiday in Sri Lanka.
A verified Twitter handle by the name of City Xtra, a page dedicated to news about Manchester City and its players, re-posted images that suggest the couple have been in the island for at least two days.
With the Premier League now on a short break due to international football fixtures, Manchester City players were scheduled to fly to Dubai for a warm weather training camp, but following a Covid-19 outbreak within the squad, Manager Pep Guardiola had given players a week off to spend with their families.
Manchester City currently hold a comfortable lead atop the Premier League with 57 points in 23 matches, nine points ahead of second place Liverpool who have played one match less.
