Over 280 top-ranked players are vying for honours in the Yeti Open Squash Championship 2025, which is now in progress at the Air Force Squash Complex in Ratmalana.
This annual national ranking tournament is conducted by Sri Lanka Squash (SLS) and sponsored by Yeti, Sri Lanka’s leading isotonic drinks manufacturer.
All leading national and junior national players are competing in the Men’s and Women’s Tournament with the finals schedule for June 1 at the same venue.
Sharif Hakeem and Yeheni Kuruppu emerged as the winners of the Men’s Open and Women’s Open Championships, respectively at last year’s tournament.
In addition, the Boys’ Under-19 title was claimed by Matheesha Wijesekara of Royal College, who defeated Vishan Ranatunga of Gateway College while in the Girls’ Under-19 category Adhithi Gunasekara of Ladies’ College triumphed over Ranliya Wood of Lindsay Girls’ School in the final.
