Under-23 Emerging Club Tournament First innings win for Police SC

Police SC had to be satisfied with a first innings win over Kurunegala YCC in the Under-23 Emerging Club two-day cricket tournament at Police Park. The second day’s play saw Kurunegala YCC in reply to Police SC’s score of 303 resuming from their overnight score of 8 for 0 being bowled out for 158. Kurunegala YCC forced to follow on and left with the task of erasing a deficit of 144 runs held on to end the day on 187 for 7.

Leo CC gained a first innings lead over Panadura SC at the end of the first day’s play in the match played at Katunayake. Leo CC after bundling out Panadura SC for 94, made 174. Panadura SC in their second essay were 160 for 1 with Duranka Silva hitting an unbeaten 93-ball 104 that included 12 sixes and six towering sixes. This match will be continued today.
