Tri Nation Limited Over Zubaid, Sediqullah steer Afghanistan ‘A’ to first win

Half tons by Zubaid Akbari and Sediqullah Atal paved the way for Afghanistan ‘A’ to record a convincing seven- wicket win over Ireland ‘A’ in the third match of the Tri Nation limited over tournament encounter played at Abu Dhabi.

Zubaid cracked 76 in 84 balls inclusive of seven boundaries and three sixes while Sediqullah slammed a quickfire 31 ball 52 with three boundaries and five sixes.

The pair shared a match winning 83- run stand the second wicket to help Afghanistan ‘A’ chasing 204 runs for victory to race to the target with ease in the 34th over.

Unbeaten Sri Lanka ‘A’ will meet Ireland ‘A’ in the fourth match of the tournament at the same venue today.
