Sri Lanka tennis rollers waltz into semis

Sri Lanka junior tennis players continued their winning streak in the ongoing Junior Davis Cup Asia Oceania Pre-Qualifying tournament as they succeeded in chalking up their third successive win of the tournament by defeating the Pacific Oceania pair by two sets to nil in the quarter final encounter played at the SLTA tennis courts at Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.
The juniors succeeded in the singles events with Mayooran Kubherane coasting to a comfortable two sets to nil win over Urara Biauniceva which was followed by Ashlin de Silva brushing off the challenge of Aifili Tamasosslii to record a thrilling two sets to one win in the second singles event which was sufficient for Sri Lanka to book a berth in the semifinals.
Sri Lanka will now meet Malaysia in the semifinal encounter which is scheduled to be played today.
