Solid start by Reshan in Nepal

Reshan Algama had a solid start carding an impressive even par 72 at the 11th Nepal Amateur Open Golf Championship 2025 on the first day yesterday. Reshan ended day one placed sixth overall in the 51 golfers participated event.

Two Nepalese amateurs currently top the leaderboard: Sadbav Acharya leads the field with a brilliant 6-under 66, followed closely by Wangchen Dhondup, who fired a 4-under 68, giving the local contingent a strong early advantage.
Among the other Sri Lankan team members, Chalitha Pushpika returned a 6-over 78 to be placed 20th, while Chanaka Perera 8-over 80 and Sachin de Silva 11-over 83, participating as private entries.
