Sandun Kumara claims first-stage

Sandun Kumara of Sri Lanka Navy won the first-stage of the SLT Speedup Cycle Sawariya which was worked off from Colombo to Embilipitiya today (24).

Sujith Hasantha of Sri Lanka Ports Authority and his teammate Chamod de Silva were placed second and third respectively.

The competitors proceeded through Panadura, Ratnapura and marked the finish line at Embilipitiya.

Meanwhile, the second-stage of the race will be from Embilipitiya to Bandarawela via Wellawaya today commencing at 9.00 a.m.
