SLSHA name 18-member Schools Hockey Squad

The Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association (SLSHA) yesterday announced a 18-member strong senior squad for the Men’s Hockey Nationals, which begins in Colombo today.   

The squad comprises players from Gampaha, Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Badulla and Matale.   

The squad was selected after the Inter-District Schools Under-20 Championships held in Colombo in June and following a selection trial held at the Peradeniya University Grounds in early September.   

The Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Squad:

Tashan Dissanayake, Radun Dharmaratne, Menula Hewawasam (All from St. Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya), Kavindu Gunaratne, Kavinda Alwis (Both from St. Sylvester’s College), Hasthika Samarasinghe (Dharmaraja College, Kandy), Udesh Sandeepa (St. Aloysius’ College, Galle), Nuwan Heendeniya, Dasun Fernando (Both from St. Thomas’, Matale), Dulara Nanayakkara (Vijaya MV, Matale), Sathsara Kalhara (Vidyartha College, Kandy), Chamod Jayasinghe (Dharmadutha MV, Badulla), Nimesh Gunawardena (Christ the Church College, Matale), Abdullah Iflal (S. Thomas’, Mount Lavinia), Poshala Fernandopulle (Maris Stella College), Renuja Wijetunga (Trinity College, Kandy), Lifton Fernando (St. Joseph’s College, Colombo) and Dilshan Dissanayake (Kingswood College, Kandy).
