Ron and Nipun slam unbeaten centuries

Ron Chandragupta and Nipun Karnanayake slammed unbeaten centuries to help Jaffna end day one of the four-day National Super League Cricket Tournament match with a formidable 305 for two against Colombo at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo yesterday.
The pair hit identical knocks of 118 with Ron hitting 12 boundaries and Nipun cracking 16 boundaries and a six. 
Ron also shared two partnerships of 84 runs for the second wicket with Skipper Nishan Madushka (53) and an unbroken 208 runs for the third wicket with Nipun.
Meanwhile, Galle ended the first day’s play on 53 for three in reply to Kandy’s 210 runs in another match played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Hambantota.
