Tons by Nishan Madushka and Dasun Shanaka and supported by a half-ton by Ron Chandragupta paved the way for Dambulla to record a four-wicket win over Kandy in the National Super League tournament encounter concluded at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium yesterday.
Nishan made a 133-ball knock of 126 that included seven boundaries and two sixes and shared two match-winning partnerships: first, an opening wicket stand of 136 with Ron, who made 64, and the other of 150 runs for the second wicket with Dasun, who hit a quickfire ton in just 56 balls, which had nine boundaries and six sixes, to help Dambulla reach the target of 392 runs to record their second outright win of the tournament.
Elsewhere, Galle recorded a first-inning win over Jaffna in a high-scoring match which ended at the Sooriyawewa Stadium.
