NEGC Golf weekend tee off today

The annual Graham Sinclair Cup organised by the Nuwara Eliya Golf Course (NEGC) will take place today (August 14). 
The two day event, will see golfers challenge for the two main prizes, the Captain’s Cup and the President’s Cup. 

The A R Aitken Cup, which was inaugurated in 1911, will reward the best nett score over the two days.

Sixteen-year-old Trinitian Haroon Aslam will defend his President’s prize while top form golfer, Chamara Abeyrathne will be back in Nuwara Eliya to defend his Captain Cup at the annual event which will be worked off at the Nuwara Elia Golf Club (NEGC). The action packed weekend includes the Club AGM (Annual General Meeting).

The organizing committee at NEGC will conduct these tournaments under strict health and safety guidelines. A maximum of 100 players will compete at these tournaments on each day and just a few more slots are available for registration.
