LPL to use augmented, virtual reality for opening ceremony

An opening ceremony featuring a combination of augmented and virtual reality technologies will precede the first match of the Lanka Premier League (LPL), Sri Lanka Cricket said yesterday. 

 
The opening ceremony will start at 06.50 p.m. and showcase the vibrancy of the Sri Lankan culture, heritage, entertainment and most importantly the passion for cricket in the country.  

The LPL will be played behind closed doors at the Sooriyawewa Stadium in Hambantota, where all 23 matches of the tournament will be played, with organizers decking the pavilions with LPL branding.
