Golfer Algama in the lead

Reshan Algama surged into an early lead at the National Ranking Golf Tournament after an entertaining opening round on Day One at the Victoria Golf Resort yesterday. Reshan carded 75 in his opening round. 

Kumar Danushan was tied on 76 with Jeewantha Wijenayake for second position. More than 30 men’s golfers teed off while in the women’s segment Sandamali Samararatne was on top with a score of 95. 

With two rounds still to play, the tournament promises an exciting battle for national ranking points across both divisions at Rajawella which will see its second day today.
