The tournament, traditionally recognised as the first national-level netball competition conducted at the start of each year, is expected to attract a strong field of teams from across the island. Applications will close on January 23 at 5.00 p.m.
Completed entry forms should be submitted to Kumudini Gomas, Secretary of WPNA, No. 16A, Gomas Path, Colombo 5. Further details can be obtained via telephone on 0777392650.
According to WPNA officials, a large number of teams have already submitted entries for the Open Women and Under-19 Girls categories. The field includes national and international-level players, as well as emerging talent who have represented Sri Lanka at the Youth Asian Netball Championships.
The tournament is open to clubs, mercantile teams, government institutions, banks, universities, and schools affiliated with their respective associations. Matches will be conducted across four divisions: ‘A’ Division: Open Women and Open Men; ‘B’ Division: Women only (excluding current or former national players; school teams and veterans not permitted); Veterans Division: Women over 40; and Schools Division: Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19.
With strong participation expected, the EVA All-Island Open Netball Tournament 2026 promises to set the tone for another competitive year in Sri Lankan netball.
