Damesh Mathisan cracked 144 in 139 balls that included 21 boundaries and four sixes and associated in a 145 runs stand for the fourth wicket with Nethan Fernando to help St Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa taking first lease of the wicket to make a formidable score of 325 for 8 declared against Isipathana College who ended day one on 134 for 3 in the Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter at the Colts ground in Colombo. Mahanama College ended the first day’s play on 69 for 1 in reply to S. Thomas’ College’s score of 203 in the match played at Mount Lavinia. The matches will be continued today.
