Damesh (119) steers Vazians to first innings win

Damesh Mathishan singlehandedly with a fine knock of 119 that included 15 boundaries and two sixes steered St Joseph Vaz Wennppuwa to a first innings win over Sri Dharmaloka MV Kelaniya in their Under 19 inter-school two day cricket tournament encounter at the Army ground in Ambepussa yesterday.

For Sri Dharmasoka MV the left arm spin pair Damsith Mintharu and Sasindu Prabath accounted for nine wickets between them. Sri Dharmaloka MV batting the second time ended the day on 162 for 9.
