Air Force women win archery championship

The Air Force women’s archery team delivered an exceptional performance at the ninth Wayamba All Island Archery Championship 2026 held at the Samodaya ground, Kurunegala.

They won the overall championship from among more than 25 teams representing the tri-forces, archery clubs and leading schools from across the island.

Displaying outstanding team spirit, dedication and technical excellence, the Air Force women archers outperformed strong contenders to secure the highest number of achievements ever recorded by the 
flying force.
