Adam wins overall title at Captains Cup Golf Tourney

Adam Fernando emerged victorious, displaying remarkable consistency with rounds of 65 and 71 for a total score of 136 Nett at the Captains Cup Golf 2023, which took place at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) with more than 200 golfers teeing off in this annual board event.  
Following closely behind Adam was Romesh Abhayaratne, securing the runner-up position with a commendable performance of 69 and 70, totalling 139 Nett.  
However, the Overall Gross division witnessed a historic moment, as Sachin De Silva clinched victory with a score of 145 Gross, reaffirming his status as one of the finest golfers in the country.  
In the Master’s Division, V. T. Sundaralingam emerged as the winner with a score of 68 Nett, while Milinda Ratnayake claimed the runner-up position with a score of 72 Nett, determined by a back-nine countback.  

In the Seniors Division, Mohan De Silva’s exceptional performance of 62 Nett secured him the top spot, leaving Kumar Boralessa as the runner-up with a score of 72 Nett.  
The Ladies segment was equally competitive with Danushi Senadhira showcasing her class to claim the Gross Winner title with a score of 79.  
In the Silver Division, Jade Jiggens emerged triumphant after a thrilling back-nine countback while Yun Jeong Choi secured the runner-up position.  
Meanwhile, in the Bronze Division, Shyama Perera’s impressive score of 68 Nett earned her the top honours with Sandra Cadien finishing as the runner-up.  
Acknowledging outstanding performances on each day, R. R. Leon and Jeong Won Lee were recognised as the Best Nett Winners for the first and second day respectively.
