10th Singer - MCA Super League T20 Maliban record second successive win

Maliban Biscuits ‘A” defeated BBK Partnership by 11 runs to record their second successive win of the ongoing 10th Singer - MCA Super League T20 cricket tournament played in the evening session at the MCA ground yesterday. 

The low scoring game saw Maliban Biscuits ‘A’ taking first lease of the wicket post a score of 118 with Sangeeth Cooray making a top score of 62 in 52 balls which had five boundaries and two sixes.

BBK Partnership in their run chase was in a spot of bother and was on 58 for 5 at the halfway stage of the innings. They lost their remaining five wickets for the addition of 46 runs and was bowled out for 104.

CDB ‘A’ recorded their first win of the tournament with a five wicket win over Fairfirst Insurance in their match played in the morning session at the same venue. It was another low scoring affair with Fairfirst Insurance taking first lease of the wicket being able to muster a score of only 92 runs. CDB ‘A’ in their turn thanks to a knock of 45 by Shevan Daniel who put on a second wicket stand of 52 runs with Lasith Croospulle helped them to reach the target in the 13th over.
