Trek4Ceylon and their global partners are once again fundraising to help flood affected victims in Sri Lanka.
Following the devastating effects of Cyclone Ditwah, Trek4Ceylon are collecting funds to aid those affected by the recent adverse weather conditions.
Presently, there is a dire need for provisions such as food, water and clothing.
However, over the coming weeks, the demand to dispense funds towards the clean up operation, fixing homes and arranging rations as people restart their lives will be critical.
Additionally, Trek4Ceylon’s Trinushka Perera spearheaded the initiative to provide meals for the dedicated call centre volunteers at the Disaster Management Centre, who are burning the midnight oil, whilst assisting victims island wide.
Eternally community minded, the Ride4Ceylon (Guarantee) Limited Director / Trustee and Co Founder, David Rasiah, engineered support for those affected by the immediate aftermath of the Covid crisis in 2020. Then under the banner of Ride4Ceylon Food Aid, the charity provided meals and water for daily wage earners.
Now through Trek4Ceylon, he persists in orchestrating relief to those impacted by this devastation.
Trek4Ceylon is a charity that was established to improve the medical infrastructure in the country. They raise funds through donations and sponsorship, primarily through their annual charity bicycle ride.
Furthermore, Trek4Ceylon are looking to bridge the north south divide and encourage tourism to our luscious island.
