They want both money and to be somebodies too!

Now that the Green party leadership pledged them big money to develop their respective electorates, the party’s backbenchers are said to be in a buoyant mood these days.

They seem to feel that they have got a bonanza. After all, Rs. 5,000 million on offer is not chicken feed!

Meanwhile, a few Green backbenchers have expressed their hankering for power-sharing as monitoring members in addition to the funds to be dished out to them in a generous measure.

However, a section of backbenchers has expressed their displeasure at this move. Their argument is that they may lose even the precious funds they been promised as a result of pressing another demand.
