Sampath Bank Rs.5bn debt issue oversubscribed

Samapth Bank PLC yesterday said its Rs.5 billion debenture issue was oversubscribed and the issue would close at 4.30 p.m.

The bank issued 50 million debentures of five-year tenor in two tranches, each at Rs.100.

Fitch Ratings rated Sampath Bank’s debt issue at ‘A+(lka)’, one notch below the bank’s national rating.
