The Government of the Republic of Singapore has appointed Mr. Jayantha Dharmadasa as Singapore’s Honorary Consul-General in Colombo with jurisdiction over Sri Lanka.
Mr. Dharmadasa is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nawaloka Hospitals PLC and also the Chairman of Nawaloka Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd. Nawaloka Holdings has commercial interest that span across health care, manufacturing, construction and aviation. Mr. Dharmadasa was the Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket Board from 2005 to 2007 and was the President of Asian Cricket Council from 2006 to 2007.
