Avirate expansion plan & launch of Spring/Summer 2014

Avirate, the leading women’s clothing retailer in Sri Lanka held a press conference on Friday 21st Feb 2014 to announce the launch of their new Spring/Summer 2014 collection, combining casual, sassy street wear, festival trends and elegant evening wear & also to talk about their expansions globally this 2014.

The brand has come out with exciting themes revolving around Spring/Summer for every month starting from March this year all the way up until July for all its customers.

“The new collection will vary from bright colours such as Berry Reds & Emerald Greens to Lavender, Dove White & Sandy Brown. “The collection also has different fabrics such as jersey, chiffon; CDC & Cotton Stretch that will appeal to different women”. Said Avirate CEO Sri Lanka - Mr. Younoos, adding: Avirate is famous & known to all for our variety of different prints; this year too our Spring/Summer Collection will have various kinds of prints such as Graphic Colour Shocks, Florals, Animal Prints & even Soft Geometric Prints”

At the Press con, Avirate also introduced their new Global CEO Mr. Jagdish Chawla who spoke about the Global expansion of Avirate into Canada & South East Asia. “Avirate is a Sri Lankan fashion brand that has grown rapidly since its inception in 2010. Going global and having already set up 10 stores in India & started our retail distributions in Canada, the retail paradigm has shifted from a single physical connection point with customers to a multi-pronged approach that crosses both physical and digital channels: Avirate hopes to do this by bringing about a total different experience to its shoppers in future with the help of modern day technology.”

Avirate also launched its new range of premium pants called “Ponte Pants” to their Spring/Summer Collection. “The pants are ideal for any type of occasion and compliment the woman’s body well” says Avirate’s Global CEO Mr. Chawla. He also went on to say that “the pants are the best of its kind and that none of the competitors can offer such a comfortable type of pants.”
