Italian Embassy Threads of Change GINI Colombo

An elegant and intimate evening of conversation, creativity, and shared vision recently unfolded at GINI, Colombo, as the Embassy of Italy to Sri Lanka and Maldives hosted Threads of Change: Women, Art, and the Future of Textiles. The event marked the official launch of a latest design collaboration between Italian textile designer, Caterina Roppo, and Sri Lankan batik artist, Sonali Dharmawardena, as part of the EU Cultural Relations Program, 'Matchmaking Pilot Program'. The evening was moderated by Robert Meeder, and hosted by the Italian Embassy in Colombo, represented by Deputy Head of Mission, Alberto Arcidiacono.
