Dehiwela Zoological Gardens turns 84

The Dehiwela Zoological Gardens recently celebrated its 84th birthday in the presence of National Zoological Gardens Director General Ishini Wickremesinghe. Several captive animals were given various treats as part of the celebration. However plans are underway to expand the cages and look into the psychological well-being of the animals. The Zoo was closed during the pandemic outbreak but is now open to visitors.
