Mobitel launches Mobile Wallet app for Apple, Android smartphones

The national mobile service provider Mobitel’s mCash launched an innovative Mobile Wallet app for both Apple iOS and Android smartphone users, who now can utilize the app as an all-in-one solution to suit their daily needs in a technologically sophisticated and convenient manner.
mCash customers could download the mCash app free of charge to benefit from a wide range of facilities such as transferring money, settling utility bills, paying insurance premiums, top up airtime and settling mobile bills, as well as purchasing goods and services through the app.
“At Mobitel we are keen to encourage our customers to use new and easy methods to go about their daily work through the use of technology that is quick, efficient and convenient. This is a step towards that effort. We are proud to be the first to provide this innovative service on both Apple and Android Operating Systems in the country as the app comprises a full service spectrum of all our essential needs in one mobile device,” Mobitel Senior GeneralManager Marketing Nalin Perera said.
Meanwhile, the user-friendly graphical interface provided on the app would allow mCash customers to use the interactive screen to manage their mCash account in an ultra-convenient manner. The app is also systemised in a manner that it allows mCash customers to view the history of their previous transactions for added convenience.
The mCash app provides updates on the latest promotions offered by mCash merchants. Customers could search for the nearest mCash retailers, vendors and Mobitel branches via the location finder on the mCash app. Mobitel mCash was launched in November 2013 and is licensed under Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
