If Lotus Tower is to settle loans obtained A daily revenue of 41,000 dollars need to be generated : Patali

A daily revenue of 41,000 dollars has to be earned from the Lotus Tower if Sri Lanka is to settle loans generated to construct it, MP Patali Champika Ranawaka said.   

Speaking during a media meeting,MP Ranawaka said a total amount of dollars 105 million has been spent for the tower. “ A sum of Rs 4.5 million had been spent for providing housing for each family who were living in the land where the Tower was built. In addition the total amount that has to be settle is 56 million dollars. This has to be settled in five years,” the MP said.  “Therefore there is a gloomy story behind the lotus tower” he added.   

He said Lotus Tower would have been a good project for a country which earned a high revenue.
