Estate worker killed in wasp attack Joseph Edward (72) of Feram Estate was the victim

A group of workers in the Lindula Feram Estate had been stung by wasps and one of them died, while two others injured were admitted to the area hospital.  

Police said a wasp nest had fallen amidst the workers and that the wasps had stung them, causing serious injuries to three of them. One of them had died on admission to the hospital.  


Joseph Edward (72) of Feram Estate was the worker who succumbed to his injuries.  


Medical Officer in Charge of the hospital Dr. A.Jeyaraj said the other workers under treatment had been stung by a swarm of wasps.
