Catholic Church denounces Pastor Jerome Fernando

• We have nothing to do with Pastor Jerome Fernando. He does not belong to the Catholic Church. We also denounce the statement he has made against Buddhism and other religions

The Catholic Church has denounced Pastor Jerome Fernando who is the head of the Glorious Church, following his recent controversial statements insulting Buddhism, Islam and Hinduism.  

Head of the social relations unit of the Catholic Church Father Jude Chrishantha said, “We have nothing to do with Pastor Jerome Fernando. He does not belong to the Catholic Church. We also denounce the statement he has made against Buddhism and other religions,” Father Jude told Daily Mirror. It was reported earlier that the Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious affairs had assured that action would be taken against those who insult religions.
