If nuclear attack occurs SL ready to face any radiation emission: SLAERC tells Parliamentary Committee

Sri Lanka is ready to face any radiation emission if a nuclear accident occurs in the region, Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Regulatory Council told a Parliamentary Committee recently.

They informed this to the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Energy and Transport, which met in Parliament recently under the chairmanship of MP Nalaka Bandara Kottegoda.

The officials of the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Regulatory Council told the committee that they were equipped with human resources and equipment to face any radiation emission from a nuclear attack.
