Elderly man falls dead while in ASWESUMA queue

An elderly man waiting in a queue at Ella Divisional Secretariat last morning to collect the letter of approval for the Aswesuma allowance had fallen dead.  The deceased Amaswamy Kulandavelu (77) was a resident of Namunukula area.   

Inquirer into Sudden Deaths Upendra Wasana Abeygunawardene who held the preliminary inquiry ordered police to refer the body to JMO Badulla General Hospital for postmortem examination.   

Ella police are conducting further investigations.
