Accident at Kajugama kills one and injures 8 others

 One died and at least eight others were seriously injured in a head-on collision of two buses at Kajugama in Bataleeya on Tuesday night (29).   

The Colombo bound SLTB bus from Kathankudi had collided with a private bus transporting employees from Narahenpita. The driver of the private bus who died on the spot was a resident of Kamburadeniya area. 

The injured passengers were admitted to the Warakapola and Watupitiwala base hospitals.    The driver of the SLTB bus was taken into custody pending further investigations.  Nittambuwa police are conducting further investigations.
