2024 Calin Avurudu Kumari contest held in Kandy

The finale of the 2024 Calin Avurudu Kumari contest, jointly organized by Calin and Sirikatha, was held in grandeur on Sunday, April 7, at the Kandy City Centre premises in Kandy.  

 

 

Applications were invited from across the entire country, and out of over a thousand submissions, 200 candidates were selected for the preliminary round. From this group, 25 candidates were chosen to advance to the final round.  


In the final round, Mishadi Sandalima from Alawwa was crowned the winner of the best Chavi Kalyana (Skin), while Malmi Prasadi from Wattala secured the title of the best Kesha Kalyana (Hair).  


H. G. Ruwanara Shehani from Matugama claimed third place in the Calin Avurudu Kumari contest, while H. M. Tharunya Bandara from Kandy took the second place.  


K. G. M. Sandunika Madubashini Thennakoon from Kandy was crowned as the “2024 Calin Avurudu Kumari”.  
Calin was the main sponsor of the competition, with Kandy City Centre, Delma Mount View Hotel, Lassana Flora, La Treats, Thilanka Hotel, and Dimax acting as co-sponsors.
