First SLITA Runway event unveiled

The first fashion show organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Textiles and Apparel (SLITA), “SLITA Runway 2025,” was held yesterday at the Cinnamon Life Hotel in Colombo. SLITA, the premier textile and apparel educational institution in Sri Lanka, operates under the Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development.

The fashion show featured the creations of twenty emerging designers who have completed the Higher National Diploma in Fashion Design & Product Development Programme. The event was attended by the Secretary to the Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, Ms. Thilaka Jayasundara.
