Cosmetic testing lab at Colombo Uni

The University of Colombo today marked a milestone in scientific innovation with the foundation stone laying of the Human Repeat Insult Patch Test (HRIPT) laboratory, the first facility of its kind in Sri Lanka for cosmetic product testing. The project is spearheaded by the Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, the Export Development Board (IDB), and the University’s Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biochemistry and Biotechnology (IBMBB).
