Baby elephant rescued...

A baby elephant that fell into an unprotected cultivation well in the Kalagma area of Galkiriyagama was rescued by the Galkiriyagama Wildlife officers. They said the calf may have fallen into the well while the herd was walking to the village in search of food last night. Pix by Galkiriyagama Krishan Jayawardana
