Trading halted at CSE as S&P SL20 Index falls below 5% again

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) had to halt trading in under 10 minutes after the S&P SL20 fell over 5 percent.

Trading is expected to resume at 11.08 a.m., the market operator said.

The market had to be halted yesterday as well, for a duration of 30 minutes as the index dropped over 5 percent from the previous close, as set out in SEC Directive dated 30th April 2020.
