Renewable energy developers stage protest

The private sector renewable energy developers staged a protest in front of the Ceylon Electricity Board yesterday, demanding the overdue payment of over Rs.35 billion over the last 12 months. The industry employs over 5,000 people and their jobs remain at risk, due to the delay in payment.
